Estate Planning, Real Estate Transactions & General Practice

How Can We Serve You?

Our Areas of Practice

Estate Planning

What does an Estate Planning lawyer do, & what can we do for you?

As your estate planning attorney, we will be able to help you legally determine how your assets will be managed during your lifetime and how to distribute them after your passing. As part of this process and consultation, we may work with you to tailor/adjust your estate plan so that it minimizes taxes and eliminates court costs and interference. We also specialize in creating legally binding documents that ensure that you have control of your finances, taxes, and medical plans even in the event of unforeseen medical problems or incapacity. We aim to provide these transactional documents in a prompt and accurate fashion, utlizing the latest technology and generative software to ensure a timely delivery of your important documents and the most accurate and highest quality contents therein.

Real Estate Transactions

What type of “Real Estate Transactions” can we assist you with?

We specialize in facilitating transfers or conveyances of property between parties. This might include creating, executing, and recording a Deed for you when you need to transfer a property or home. We might also be able to assist you in drafting a sales agreement if you are buying or selling a home or piece of property. Additionally, we may be able to assist you when you are selling or buying property as part of a larger transaction, one that involves banks, real estate agents, surveyors, or other groups/parties in a “closing” - please be sure to contact us in advance to ensure that we are available to assist you.

General Practice

If you have other legal needs that do not fit into the categories listed above, we may still be able to assist you. Please reach out to us, leave us a message with brief explanation of your legal issue, so that we can determine if we can assist or potentially represent you in your matter. We may also refer you to a colleague who can represent you, if we determine that your needs are best served by another attorney.

Serving diverse clients’ needs & offering consultancy services since 2017

Mr. DeVore is an attorney specializing in estate planning and real estate transactions. Admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in 2017, attorney DeVore has maintained his office as a solo practitioner - serving the legal needs of clients across the region and beyond. Mr. DeVore has also expanded his private practice into offering a variety of legal services to other professionals in the form of consultations and consultancy arrangements.  Across this broad spectrum of experience, a hallmark of our practice has been an emphasis on technological aptitude and measured integration of new technologies and innovations. This familiarity with remote legal work, remote consultations, and consultancies partnering with larger firms has provided a unique window to integrate the same skills and experience into improving individual service to clients. Mr. DeVore also deeply believes in the underlying philosophy of legal innovation. As a practice, we aim to utilize new technology to better serve the needs of clients and to improve the practice of law through the integration of such innovations, improving the competence, accuracy, and accessibility of legal services across the broad spectrum of the practice of law.

Professional Biography

Attorney DeVore excelled academically in both his undergraduate career (B.S. History) and while pursuing post-graduate studies in his legal education (J.D.) at the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. DeVore received honors and was the recipient of several scholarships for exemplary academic achievement including the Presidential Scholarship for his undergraduate career and a full, Dean's Scholarship, for the entirety of his legal education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Mr. DeVore was an active member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.  Similarly, advanced course-work and practical knowledge geared towards estate planning, contract law, & elder law areas of study were pursued in earnest.

Following graduation from law school, Mr. DeVore was determined to return to his hometown area of Somerset County to establish practice.  Gaining valuable experience from several local firms and mentor-ships with attorneys across the area, and in nearby West Virginia, Mr. DeVore was admitted to practice law in October of 2017. Since that time, a diverse practice supporting the legal needs of friends and neighbors in rural western Pennsylvania has met with great success and a rewarding career. Although chiefly focused on transactional matters in the fields of estate planning and real estate transactions, Mr. DeVore has accommodated diverse client needs and interests in the pursuit of personal injury matters and general law practice.  As the pandemic upended life for so many people in 2020, Mr. DeVore was determined, also, to find new ways to connect with clients and explore the new technologies open to attorneys.  With this new mission and drive to master these new technologies and opportunities open to legal practitioners, Mr. DeVore has pursued several consultancies and contract arrangements with larger legal firms, on a remote basis. With a valuable knowledge base now gained from work in the exciting and emerging fields of Data Security and Data Breach Analysis, a new level of competence and familiarity with remote options for the practice of law and the service of clients has been added to his previous solo practice. Perhaps, most importantly, too, such experience also led Mr. DeVore towards making the connection to join the team at Hargrove, themselves pioneers in the field of using new technologies to meet the needs of clients in the 21st century.  As such, Mr. DeVore joins the team at Hargrove, already a firm believer in the philosophy that underpins so much of their existing work to bring modern methods and technology to bear in the field of estate planning.

Beyond his legal career, Mr. DeVore is also a small business owner, together with his wife Autumn DeVore. While in law school, the pair grew their small business into a successful LLC, serving customers across the world and shipping to 6 continents with tens of thousands of satisfied customers.  As a small business owner, Attorney DeVore can bring unique insights into the sometimes-unanticipated ways that small business ownership affects much in the field of estate planning and more.

Altogether, this history of self-discipline and motivation compliments ample career and technical experience, all of which coalesce to bring real-world application of principles to bear in a professional setting. A drive and history to master further technological aptitude, familiarity with remote work and protocols, and a wide base of technical proficiency cultivates success and professional competence that better serves client needs.
